Social media driven visitor growth at Pohon Cinta Beach, Pohuwato Regency, has placed pressure on sanitation facilities, cleanliness, and coastal vegetation, while previous studies have not measured environmental governance jointly with the destination's physical condition. This study aims to evaluate the achievement of the six principles of Good Environmental Governance and the physical environmental sustainability status of the destination. A descriptive evaluative quantitative approach was applied using a 24 item Likert scale questionnaire administered to 111 respondents between August and September 2026, analysed through percentage achievement indices, interval class categorisation, and paired gap mapping. The results show that governance achievement falls into the moderate category with an index of 68.24 percent, with equity as the highest principle and accountability as the lowest. Physical environmental sustainability falls into the fairly sustainable category with an index of 68.26 percent, with sanitation facilities as the weakest aspect. The largest gap lies in the pair of effectiveness and efficiency with physical comfort and site layout. Its novelty lies in pairing six governance principles with six physical aspects, revealing that the destination is currently sustained by its natural landscape and absorbable visitor pressure rather than by the institutional capacity of its managers.
