Manfaat Sabun Oatmeal dan Secang untuk Kulit Berminyak

Kulit berminyak merupakan salah satu kondisi saat kelenjar sebasea pada kulit menghasilkan terlalu banyak sebum. Kulit berminyak dan jerawat biasanya sulit untuk ditangani. Beberapa cara untuk mengatasi kulit berminyak salah satunya dengan menggunakan oatmeal. Oat berasal dari biji gandum manfaatnya untuk kulit diantaranya menghilangkan rasa gatal pada kulit, mencegah iritasi, mencerahkan wajah, melindungi dari sinar UV, menyeimbangkan PH kulit serta membersihkan dan mengangkat sel kulit mati. Secang merupakan jenis tumbuhan herbal yang kaya antioksidan dan dapat mengatasi peradangan pada kulit.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sabun wajah dengan campuran oatmeal dan ekstrak secang dan menguji keefektifannya untuk mengatasi kulit berminyak. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan tahapan pembuatan sabun dan melakukan uji klinis. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 20 orang dan diambil secara pusposive random sampling. Subjek menggunakan sabun selama 3 hari dan diukur sebelum dan sesudahnya.
Hasil penelitian penggunaan sabun mampu menurunkan kadar minyak di wajah secara signifikan (sig 0,020) tanpa mengurangi kelembapan dan kelembutan kulit. Respon subjek setelah tiga hari pemakaian mendukung hasil pengukuran, di mana sebagian besar pengguna merasakan kulit lebih halus, bersih, segar dan tidak berminyak. Secara keseluruhan, sabun oatmeal dan secang terbukti aman serta efektif digunakan untuk membantu mengurangi minyak berlebih, sekaligus menjaga kelembapan dan kelembutan kulit.
