Peningkatan Kesadaran dan Pendampingan Sertifikasi Halal bagi UMKM Pangan di Kabupaten Merangin

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran serta memberikan pendampingan kepada pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) pangan di Kabupaten Merangin terkait pentingnya sertifikasi halal. Sertifikasi halal menjadi aspek penting bagi UMKM pangan untuk meningkatkan daya saing, menjamin keamanan konsumsi, serta memperluas akses pasar. Namun, masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang kurang memahami prosedur dan manfaat dari sertifikasi halal tersebut. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi, diskusi interaktif, dan pendampingan langsung dalam proses administrasi pengurusan sertifikasi halal. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai urgensi sertifikasi halal serta beberapa UMKM berhasil memulai proses pengajuan sertifikasi. Kegiatan ini berdampak positif terhadap kesiapan UMKM dalam memenuhi standar halal dan diharapkan dapat mendorong tumbuhnya kesadaran kolektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk pangan di Kabupaten Merangin.
